The Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Pavilion is located at West Coker’s Recreation Ground for Children in Halves Lane (BA22 9BS).
For Booking, see HERE
It was opened on November 5th 2022 by Gina Seaton, who has served the community as a Parish and District Councillor for 40 years . See HERE for photos. It replaced three old buildings used by the Scouts, Guides, West Coker & Hardington Cricket Club and West Coker Youth Club. The Pavilion was designed to meet the needs of West Coker’s young people for the rest of the century; it is fully insulated, has LED lighting throughout and has underfloor heating with air-source heat pumps.
It was built by P H Hardwill and has two large halls, a fully fitted kitchen, a bar/servery, showers/changing rooms, and toilets. Its facilities are ‘accessible’. See HERE for more details.
The Pavilion is managed by the ‘Recreation Ground for Children’ charity (304669) for which West Coker Parish Council is the sole managing trustee.
